I think it's fair to say I am obsessed with Pilates! I've taught Pilates for 20 years, to both adults and children. Pilates is essential for maintaining good posture, core strength and control, co-ordination, balance, flexibility and a healthy back. It teaches you about your own body, and how to keep it safe.
Regular and correct Pilates practice can even assist with back pain, headaches, stress and pelvic floor issues. I'm passionate about showing those who attend classes how to transfer its methods to everyday life, but also to develop and enhance the dancer's technique.
I've lost count of the times I've been told by class attendees that they feel like they float out of the room after class.
I've developed a Dance Pilates scheme for children – with natural movement and imaginative themes making the work more meaningful to different age groups.
I also teach Pilates with Relaxation to all ages – very popular!
